Re-sealing your wooden countertop

Wooden tops that have been sealed with Lacquer will occasionally need touch-ups. Typically every 1-2 years. Simply take 320 grit sandpaper and lightly sand the top of your piece and wipe off excess dust. Then, with a brush apply a light  coat of Lacquer or Polyurethane. We use Oil Based Lacquer with a Satin sheen but recommend using Minwax Wipe On Poly in Clear Satin as we have found that is the easiest and quickest method for customers to maintain their wooden tops.

Cleaning a Wooden Countertop

Wooden tops that have been sealed with Lacquer are very easy to clean! We recommend using a damp cloth with mild soap and water. Take a dry cloth and dry the counter top after cleaning it to avoid water spots. If you see scratches or stubborn water spots on your wood top, then it may be time to re-seal so follow the instructions above.

Copper Sink Care

Copper is considered a living finish so they may patina overtime which is natural. Cleaning is easy! Simply use a mild soap and water. There are copper cleaning products available, but we recommend just mild soap and water. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive materials. Avoid leaving acidic materials in your sink.
