Meet The Elton!
A gorgeous barn wood vanity hand crafted from 100% Mexican barn wood. The old barnwood has a lot of unique characteristics which makes this vanity very unique. The wood has been sanded to a very smooth, buttery finish and a hand rubbed paste wax has been applied. The top is a smooth surface that has been sealed to protect the wood from water damage. The top 2 drawers are false to allow for plumbing.

So far real good
Won’t open the box for 2 more weeks but there looks to be no damage from the outside. You knew in advance it would be a few weeks do time was not s problem. I know it will be so pretty in our new house.

Well made and is perfect in our guest bathroom. Our contractor had to do some re-working of the top drawer so we could install the faucet, but it wasn’t difficult. There is space underneath the bottom cabinets and at the back of the drawers which helped. Shipping was spot on the estimated delivery date.

Love-love-love this Vanity
So, we bought a new condo & gutted it. I found everything I wanted, but I had a really hard time picking out a vanity that was not only the style, but the size that we needed & wanted. When you walk into our bathroom, the vanity is the first thing you see. I wanted to make sure the vanity made a statement, but was warm at the same time. When I found this one, I knew this was what I was looking for. It took a while to get, because they make the items to order. But it is spectacular. It does not feel wonky or flimsy; it is very sturdy, very good construction, the doors & drawers all open easily. It’s perfect. It came on a crate, wrapped in cardboard & fully covered in packing wrap. The one thing I would say, is there was a lot of residual varnish on it when we opened it. Any time my husband & I moved it around, we got some of the oil varnish on our fingers. Not to mention, the strong scent of varnish that filled our house. haha! We actually put it outside on the balcony to let it air out until we were ready to install it. My workers ended up just taking a rag & – using a lot of elbow grease – wiped the whole thing down for us. Which in hindsight we should have just done right off the bat – it handled the smell immediately. I think the varnish was so thick upon arrival, so it could settle into the wood more while in transit. Additionally, we did end up taking off the little apostrophe shaped door closers that are above both doors. They are decorative & aren’t actually needed, as the doors have little clips they shut into on the inside which actually hold the door closed. In the end, I just preferred the way it looked without them, & you don’t even notice the holes where the screws were. The fact that I could screw them out, as opposed to them being nailed in, & the fact that the vanity had been varnished under where these were, gave me even more joy & respect for this company – they really saw to every detail, & built this to last. All in all, I would order another vanity from them in a heartbeat. Really great product. Incredibly beautiful design. Very good construction. I highly recommend them!

Vanity is beautiful. But it’s 2 drawers not 3 (top drawer is just show). Agree with another reviewer that shelves inside would make for better use of space. Still a beautiful piece.

Vanities are usually built for a center mount sink – either a vessel sink or a surface mount. However, this vanity has drawers in the middle making it nearly impossible to plumb a sink without additional plumbing and the rerouting of the pipes and cutting the length of a drawer. I would have much preferred two sets of drawers, one on either side with the center portion left empty for plumbing. The vanity is well built but not nicely for a “vanity” which was how this was advertised. I will add a photo when I’ve completed mounting the vessel sink and faucet to the side of the vanity and having to pay a plumber to re-plumb everything.

Very poorly constructed; drawers fit crooked, doors do not close well with hardware inside … might work better if I took the hardware out of it. Hardware is also bent on drawer pulls. Sits uneven. Finish on top of vanity comes off if it gets wet (??) … for a sink vanity, that is bad. I need to refinish with something more durable. Photo shows a much prettier piece than what I actually got. I am thinking I should have bought an actual antique ; quality might have been better. It feels like I got junk.

Although beautiful at first glance, the drawers and cabinet doors were all stuck and wouldn’t open and close easily. Also, the description claims that it has protection on the top from water damage but my cabinet has already received water damage and it’s not even three months old.

I have contacted FoxDen twice to return this vanity but have gotten no response. We waited over two months for delivery, which we understood was a possibility, but upon opening it found it to be nothing like it was pictured. Although sturdy and durable, it is almost black, rather than the wood tones shown in advertisement. The top was advertised as sanded to a smooth finish, but every seam is open and penetrate to water. Based on other reviews this product appears to be hit or miss.

The picture displays a finely finished cabinet. It looks rustic and built rustically. I am disappointed after having cabinet for two years! Ready to already replace vanity. Wish I could return, my advice, don’t buy!

Vanity is very nice and well made. We love the look. What we disliked: The contractor had issues with plumbing install because false drawer is not removable. Recommend that the false drawer is removable and 2nd drawer is half the depth to accommodate p-trap. We are currently working with contractor to figure a work around.

The folks at Foxden Boutique were incredible to work with and the custom vanity they built for my family is gorgeous. They’re response time was incredible and they made the custom design process as painless as possible. I honestly cannot believe how smoothly the whole transaction went from beginning to end. The vanity shipped ahead of schedule and arrived in great condition. I had to adjust the drawer slides a little but it was no big deal. I will certainly order from Foxden Boutique in the future and you should too.

It’s now been over a year since I purchased this cabinet and I still think it looks great with one pretty significant issue – the hardware has started to rust! You can’t touch any of the door or drawer pulls without getting orange dust on your hands that stains. I’m incredibly disappointed and trying to figure out what to do – likely I’ll have to find a local furniture maker/repairer or someone like that to replace the fixtures. I would NOT purchase from this maker again.

Cabinet was unfinished on the inside and doors do not open properly. Had to have someone shave down the doors to allow them to open and close easily. Beautiful from the outside, just disappointed on the functionality.

The vanity is a bit less than I expected due to the reviews from other buyers. It’s rustic quality is exactly what I wanted, however there is a large gouged out pit on the top that is at least !/4″ deep, see photo and a place on the front where there is no stain. So, the vanity will have to be sanded, puttied and restained. Pain in the a**.

What Happened FoxDen???
Look at the photo above compared to the photo of what I received. Web-site looks like a nicely finished piece of furniture, with a smooth sanded satin finish. What I received, after waiting 3 months for it to ship, was rough sawn front frame and doors. Nothing polished or looking anything like the finish of the photo above. The top is sanded smooth, but the nails used in assembly were not recessed and filled; the nail heads have been sanded flush, so you see the silver nail heads throughout the top. The color? Dark, dark….almost black. The top surface looks like it was stained with a rag, only the stain was not wiped off. It still has “swipe” marks from the rag under the clear coat finish. I realize it was to be made of reclaimed wood, but this did not meet my expectations in the least.

It was badly assembled and the wood was not “reclaimed” it was trash wood. It looked like a grade school shop class had put this together. All the fitting were cheap or homemade. It was awful and way way way overpriced. I returned it the day after it was delivered.

This vanity is even prettier in person! Well built, a lot of detail. The cabinet was damaged during delivery but the seller and Houzz have both been very responsive to get a replacement out.

I am very happy with the reclaimed wood vanity. It is perfect. If I were the manufacture I would add adjustable shelves to inside of the doors on both sides. I had some built in otherwise you have a lot of wasted space. The shipper was amazing !!! The best customer service from Rachel M at Houzz!!! She is fantastic . Thank you
